Master’s Program Students at Miami Ad School and FIU Help Florida Farmers with Social Media
FARMERS LEARN TO GROW A FOLLOWING.
Miami Ad School and FIU master’s students helped Florida Farmers gain a greater understanding of social media by creating six, 15-30 minute video tutorials instructing them on how to use Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for their social media marketing efforts. These videos were produced in English and Spanish and were released this month on YouTube and Vimeo in a statewide campaign by the University of Florida.
Under the guidance of FIU/Miami Ad School Graduate Program Director, Grizelle de los Reyes, master’s program graduate, Roberto Gudino assembled and spearheaded a team of eight students through the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of this project.
“It was a great experience collaborating with such talented students and I would do it again in a heartbeat” says Roberto. “Miami Ad School provides an environment where students are constantly challenged to think creatively while FIU provides an analytical backdrop to help students make informed decisions based on the client brief. It’s really the best of both worlds.”
Students that made up the team were: Karen Aliaga, Daniel Díaz Avellaneda, Igor de Sa, Claudio Garcia, Geraldine Aimée Ramirez, Alex Molinos, Alex Rangel, and Joanna Eve Reyes.
